LANGUAGE(S): English

BIO

Sierra’s approach to therapy is based on the understanding that life can be difficult to navigate and that everyone needs a space where they can slow down and reflect on who they are, as well as who they would like to become. This process allows her clients to build upon their strengths and develop new skills to manage challenging situations and feelings. She views therapy as a dynamic opportunity for people to gain a deeper understanding of their emotions and is committed to facilitating conversations that lead to enduring change.

Sierra completed a Masters of Social Work (MSW) with specialization in health and mental health at the University of Toronto Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Her practice draws on elements and techniques from various therapeutic modalities including motivational interviewing, solution focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, and dialectical behavioural therapy. She approaches her work from strengths based, trauma informed, and anti-oppressive lenses and is an ally of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Sierra aims to create a safe space for individuals of all backgrounds and a has a deep respect of the courage it requires to reach out and seek healing through therapy.
