BIO
Laura is a seasoned Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and counsellor with thirty years of experience in social service, child protection, and counselling. Grounded in empathy and collaboration, she creates a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, and families to navigate mental health, addiction, trauma, and loss. Utilizing strength-based, trauma-informed, and solution-focused therapies, along with narrative and cognitive-behavioural techniques, Laura empowers her clients to share and heal within their stories.
Dedicated to cultural sensitivity, Laura embraces clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing systemic racism and the unique challenges faced by multi-ethnic communities. Her decade of service with Toronto Social Services and twenty-two years supporting family stability highlight her commitment to addressing complex social issues. Outside her professional life, Laura finds joy and balance in nature, indulging in walking, cycling, reading, and enriching her life with travel.
