Dr. Kris' interests in science and nature as well as having a compassion in helping people is what brought him to pursue a career in Naturopathic Medicine. Having studied Microbiology in his undergrad exposed him to research in autoimmune and inflammatory disorders while learning about the microbiome of the gut and how extraordinary our bodies are at healing. Then he continued four years in a medical post graduate program at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) which fuelled his knowledge in natural therapies and provided his expertise in medical care. But having the time to educate and speak with patients on a more personal level is the main reason he loves being a Naturopathic Doctor.
When not seeing patients you will most often see Kris hiking various trails, gardening, canoeing on a lake or camping in many of Ontario's beautiful parks. In the city he enjoys the variety of events, markets and restaurants available in Toronto. Living a life eating good food, being active, enjoying what you love and being kind to one another are his mantras. He also believes that being healthy and happy is unique to each individual. The same diet, lifestyle changes, natural medicines and social networks vary from person to person.
